PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE

 

The Maryland Soccer Foundation, Incorporated

The Maryland Soccer Foundation, Incorporated is seeking approval to the following improvements of the South Germantown SoccerPlex Championship Stadium at the South Germantown Recreational Park located in Germantown, Maryland, as permitted in their Lease Agreement with the Commission:

 

· Expand permanent seating capacity from the current level of 3,200 to 5,600.
· The ability to add up to 1,000 temporary bleacher seats when attendance levels reach that level.
· Development of restroom facility to support the additional seating capacity.
· Development of a permanent press box.
· Development of a permanent ticket booth for selling tickets on game days.
· Installation of a six foot fence surrounding the perimeter of the stadium area to control access.

The Montgomery County Civic Federation is presenting a seminar on Saturday, October 18, 2008 on "Successful Participation in the Rezoning Game". The seminar is an opportunity to learn more about the procedures and law involved in the land rezoning process and how to develop a strategy for your successful participation in the process.
