Casey Anderson recently completed an opinion research project on attitudes toward bicycling and related issues for WABA under a grant from the General Services Administration. He will present the findings of this study, including a comparison of the opinions, characteristics, and experiences of cyclists and non-cyclists and the implications of these differences for land use and transportation planning in DC and its suburbs. Richard Layman, activist, blogger (Rebuilding Place in the Urban Space) and current bicycle and pedestrian planner for Baltimore County, will also present his practical experience regarding the challenges of planning for bicycle infrastructure. Watch this presentation.

PRELIMINARY/FINAL WATER QUALITY PLAN
for
Maydale Conservation Park

This 19.45 acre site is located at 1638 Maydale Drive, and is within Left Fork of the Upper Paint Branch Watershed. The Upper Paint Branch Watershed is a designated Special Protection Area. The project proposes to restore approximately 1,600 linear feet of existing stream channel, extending from the pond intake weir at the existing Maydale Nature Center parking lot to the confluence with an unnamed tributary near Craddock Street.

 

If you wish to request a public information meeting, a written request must be submitted to this office within 15 days of this notice, posted March 29, 2010. The Water Quality Plans are available for review at the Department of Permitting Services office during working hours (8:00am-4:00pm Monday through Friday).
