WINDING
CREEK PARK PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE
Thursday, January 8, 2004, at 7:00 PM Staff from the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) will present plans and solicit comments and ideas from the public for the renovation of Winding Creek Local Park on Thursday, January 8, 2004. Co-hosted by the Mid-County Recreation Advisory Board, the meeting, will be held at 7:00 p.m. in room 300 at the Recreation Department Headquarters, 4010 Randolph Road, Wheaton. Winding Creek Local Park, at the corner of Dewey and Edgebrook Streets, has been closed to allow WSSC to replace a deteriorated, small sewer line within the Rock Creek Park. Following the WSSC construction (to be completed in summer 2005), the Winding Creek Park will be totally re-constructed. The new plan proposes additional and relocated parking, new recreation facilities and amenities, and environmental improvements.
