Saturday, May 15, 2004, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Agricultural History Farm Park 18400 Muncaster Road, Derwood, MD 20855 The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission and the Montgomery Parks Foundation invite the public to visit the Agricultural History Farm Park in Derwood, Maryland, for the Spring Farm Festival, Saturday, May 15, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Do laundry the old fashioned way, white wash a fence, make crafts, and plant crops to get a taste of farm life at the turn of the last century. Check out antique farm equipment, see draft horses and mules working the land, and watch working sheep dogs. Enjoy gardening talks and demonstrations, games, music by Tunesmythe and the Cider Press Boys, and lots of good food. Dig into an archaeological site and see how professional archaeologists add to our knowledge of the past. A parking fee of $10 per vehicle includes a passport for free activities that you can turn in at the end of the day for a special prize! There is a $15 parking fee for 15-passenger vans, and $20 for busses. To volunteer at the festival, please call (301) 495-2464.
