The Montgomery County Planning Board encourages members of the public to testify Tuesday, December 20, 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on what they would like to see in a Community Improvement Plan for the Clarksburg Town Center.  The hearing is scheduled from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.  It will be held at Cedar Brook Community Church, located at 23700 Stringtown Road in Clarksburg.  Residents wishing to testify in the afternoon or evening may call 301/495-4600 to sign up in advance.  On-site sign-ups are also welcome.  Those unable to attend either hearing are welcome to put their thoughts and suggestions in writing and send via e-mail to: MCP-Chairman@mncppc-mc.org.  Or, comments can be sent through U.S. mail to: Derick Berlage, Chairman, The Montgomery County Planning Board, 8787 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD  20910.

This re-scheduled meeting gives residents adjacent to Northwest Branch Park an opportunity to hear a proposal by Verizon Wireless to locate a wireless telecommunications facility next to the new location for the National Capital Trolley Museum.

 

Verizon representatives will discuss the need for the proposed facility, present photo simulations of the proposed facility from various views in the surrounding neighborhoods, and present photos of similar facilities in the area.  Questions and comments from the audience are welcomed and encouraged.
