Matthew Henson Trail: Facility Planning, Design, and Project Description Form (PDF). 1) Approve facility plan for a hard surface trail in Matthew Henson State Park and Greenway as the basis for design and construction; 2) approve initiation of final design, construction documents, and permitting for Phases 1 and 2; and 3) propose changes to the Matthew Henson Trail PDF No. 500400, as submitted by the Montgomery County Department of Public Works and Transportation, and transmit proposed changes to the Montgomery County Council. On Thursday, April 3, 7:30 p.m., the Montgomery County Planning Board will hear testimony on the proposed Matthew Henson Hiker-Biker Trail located in Matthew Henson State Park and the Matthew Henson Greenway. The meeting will be held in M-NCPPC’s auditorium, 8787 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring. If you wish to testify, please call the Community Relations Office prior to the hearing at 301-495-4600. NOTICE: PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING POSTPONED

CABIN JOHN REGIONAL PARK INDOOR BASEBALL & SPORTS TRAINING FACILITY
POSTPONED FROM THURSDAY, APRIL 3, 2003

The proposed site is located opposite the existing softball fields #5 & 6 on the Westlake Drive of the park.
The Montgomery County Planning board has postponed the previously announced public meeting from Thursday, April 3, 2003.

Planning Board to Hear Additional Public Comment on
Upper Rock Creek Area Master Plan

On Thursday, April 10, the Montgomery County Planning Board will hear public comment on draft land use recommendations
in the Upper Rock Creek Area Master Plan. Draft recommendations include four large undeveloped properties-the Casey,
Dungan, Freeman and Woodlawn properties-in the Upper Rock CreekPlanning Area. They are based on discussions between
the Planning Board and staff during the regularly scheduled public meetings on March 6 and March 13.

If you would like to speak in person on April 10, please call the Commission’s Community Relations Office in advance at
301-495-4600. Government representatives have seven minutes to speak, organizations have five minutes and individuals have
