Winding Creek Park Renovation Public Meeting
Wednesday, May 7, 2003 at 7 p.m.,
Viers Mill Elementary School, 11711 Joseph Mill Road, Silver Spring

The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission’s Montgomery County Department of Park and Planning is inviting park users, park neighbors and others to participate in a public meeting on the draft plan to renovate Winding Creek Local Park, Wednesday, May 7, beginning at 7 p.m., Viers Mill Elementary School, 11711 Joseph Mill Road, Silver Spring.

Located at Dewey and Edgebrook Roads in Silver Spring, Winding Creek Local Park will close at the end of August 2003 to allow for replacement of a deteriorated sewer line within Rock Creek Park. Winding Creek Park will also be used as a staging area for access and storage of construction materials.

Montgomery County Planning Board will hold a public forum on growth management issues, Thursday, May 15. Focusing on options for revising the County's Annual Growth Policy (AGP), the forum will begin with a brief staff presentation followed by public comment limited to 2 ½ hours.
