Please Sign Up in Advance to Testify

The Montgomery County Planning Board will hear two hours of public testimony on the Maryland Department of Transportation's (MDOT) three alternatives for the Intercounty Connector, known as the ICC, Thursday, February 3 at M-NCPPC's auditorium, 8787 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring. The state's three alternates retained for detailed study include two "build" and a "no-build." Proposed to connect I-270 in Gaithersburg with either Route 1 or I-95 south of Laurel, the build alternates are Corridor 1 (along the Master Plan alignment) and Corridor 2 (along a more northern alignment).

During January 2005, the MDOT is holding a series of four public hearings in Gaithersburg, Greenbelt,
and Silver Spring to encourage participation in the public process. Additional information is online at www.iccstudy.org. Copies of the M-NCPPC staff report will be available to the public after January 31 at the Commission's Montgomery Regional Office Building at 8787 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland, and
online at www.mcparkandplanning.org.

To testify in person, please sign up in advance by calling the Commission's Community Relations
