Recommendation On Locally Preferred Alternative

Staff recommendation: Approve recommendation of Medium Investment Light Rail Alternative as the Locally Preferred Alternative for the Purple Line

The public is welcome to speak at the Board's January 8 public hearing, however, intense interest in this project may draw a large number of people wishing to be heard. Chairman Royce Hanson is encouraging interested parties to send written testimony of any length. For timely consideration by the Board, written testimony is requested to be received Noon on January 2, 2009.


Testimony will be limited to two hours, with each speaker receiving no more than three minutes.

PLEASE NOTE: Effective December 31, 2008, the maximum allowed time for oral testimony has been reached. We are no longer accepting sign ups.

 

Speakers on January 8, 2009, will need to specify which segment of the Montgomery County Purple Line they wish to address - Bethesda/Chevy Chase; Silver Spring; Long Branch/Takoma/Langley; or the entire length.
