ADDITIONAL PUBLIC COMMENT ON THE UPPER ROCK CREEK AREA MASTER PLAN

The Montgomery County Planning Board will hear additional public comment on a single issue in the Upper Rock Creek Area Master Plan: Pulte Homes’ proposal for an adult community on the Freeman property. The Board will hear public comment on November 13, 2003 and discuss the proposal on November 20. Those wishing to testify in person on November 13 should contact the Community Relations Office at (301) 495-4600. Written testimony should be submitted to Derick P. Berlage, Chairman, Montgomery County Planning Board, and sent to the M-NCPPC at 8787 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland 20910. Written submissions may be faxed to (301) 495-1320.


COMMUNITY WORKSHOP ON WOODMONT TRIANGLE

The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission and the Conflict Resolution Center of Montgomery County will hold the last in a series of community workshops on visions for the future of the Woodmont Triangle area of Bethesda, on November 10, 2003, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Services Center, 4805 Edgemoor Lane in Bethesda.

Division of Water Resources Management
has received a

PRELIMINARY/FINAL WATER QUALITY PLAN FOR BRIARCLIFF MEADOWS NORTH

The site is located off of Thompson Road within the Upper Paint Branch Watershed, which is a designated Special Protection Area. The proposed development will consist of 10 single-family houses and the associated infrastructure. The property is zoned RE-1 and is approximately 11.5 acres in size.

If you wish to request a public information meeting, a written request must be submitted to this office within 15 days of this notice (Notice posted 10/27/2003).

The Water Quality Plans are available for review at the Department of Permitting Services office during working hours. M-NCPPC’s Montgomery County Planning Board is seeking several individuals to fill openings on the Advisory Group for the Legacy Open Space program. Members provide feedback to Commission staff on implementing the Legacy Open Space Functional Master Plan at quarterly meetings. Legacy Open Space is the Planning Board’s bold initiative to conserve and steward land of exceptional value.
