DERWOOD, MD—Join the Montgomery County Department of Parks, part of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission for some down-home fun on the farm during the annual Harvest Festival. Sample life on the farm from the 1850s to the present. Families and attendees will enjoy tinsmithing, pumpkin painting, chestnut roasting, scarecrow making, live farm animals, such as chickens, pigs and goats, games and food. Also featured will be antique farm equipment, gardening talks and demonstrations, live music and more. Admission is $10 per car, which includes parking.
