As part of the Intercounty Connector (ICC) community stewardship program, Orfanos Contractors, Inc. of Baltimore Maryland constructed the dog park at Olney Manor Recreational Park. This fenced-in, one-acre dog park includes separate areas for both large and small dogs. It joins four other dog parks in the Montgomery park system—at Black Hill Regional Park, Cabin John Regional Park, Ridge Road Recreational Park and Wheaton Regional Park.
Saturday’s event will also feature informational displays from the Montgomery County Humane Society, Montgomery County Parks, and the ICC, as well as participation from local businesses including Bark! Pawsitive Pet Food of Olney.
The Olney Manor Dog Park is located at 16601 Georgia Avenue in Olney, in the Olney Manor Recreational Park, near ball field #4 and the swim center. To access the park, take Emory Lane eastbound off Georgia Avenue (MD 97) and proceed for approximately a quarter mile. The dog park will be located on your right.
