BOYDS, MD—Black Hill Regional Park will begin selling mooring sites and seasonal boat permits for its 2010 season this Saturday, February 27 at 9:00 am at the park’s Visitor Center, 20926 Lake Ridge Drive in Boyds, and online at www.ParkPASS.org (Course No. 98499) beginning at 12:00 noon this Saturday.
A total of 100 mooring sites are available, and mooring stakes and seasonal boat permits will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis. Park patrons who register for sites online should print out their confirmation of sale and bring it to the Black Hill Regional Park Visitor Center to obtain their boat decals.
The cost of a mooring site is $150, which includes a seasonal boat permit. The cost of a seasonal boat permit alone is $70. Patrons purchasing mooring sites are required to supply their own chain and a lock that can attach to a permanent mooring stake on site.
Mooring sites and seasonal boat permits will also be sold at the Black Hill Regional Park Visitor Center on weekends in March from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm, and seven days a week, April through September from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Online registration for mooring sites requires a ParkPASS customer number and PIN. Signing up for a ParkPASS account is easy at www.ParkPASS.org and only requires basic information (name, gender, birth date, address, phone and email). For new accounts, a customer number and PIN are emailed within two business days. However, customers may call the ParkPASS Help Desk at 301-495-2580 (Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm) to obtain access numbers if account information is not received or for additional assistance.
