Private First-Class Roberto Sanchez was born in Washington D.C. but has been a Maryland resident his entire life. Perhaps that explains his deep fan loyalty to the Washington Nationals, Capitals, and D.C. United Soccer team, while also rooting for Baltimore Ravens!
Private First-Class Sanchez is highly motivated and has built ties in the community while serving residents throughout Montgomery County, Maryland. Private First -Class Sanchez first honed his skills for service as a member of the United States Marine Corps. After 6-years in the Marine Corps Reserves, Private First-Class Sanchez continued in the spirit of the Marine Corps motto “The Few, The Proud, The Marines” and joined the Park Police.
Private First-Class Sanchez has been with the Park Police for 3-years in the Patrol Division and has received several awards and commendations. He proactively addresses acute or chronic crime concerns within the community and maintains a neighborhood presence throughout the region to deter crime. Private First-Class Sanchez has taken numerous training courses including Crisis Intervention as well as Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) Training designed to teach community members survival tactics for a life-threatening incident. He is also bi-lingual – fluent in English and Spanish.
When Private First-Class Sanchez is not enjoying the company of his four-legged companion “Stark”, a westie (terrier) dog, he is completing work through the University of Maryland Global Campus in pursuit of his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice.
