CLARKSBURG, MD — Fall is the time to clean out those jam-packed garages and closets. For that unused golf and ski equipment, The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) and the WISP Ski Patrol have a solution — the First Annual Golf and Ski Swap, Saturday and Sunday, September 17-18, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Little Bennett Golf Course, 25900 Prescott Road, Clarksburg.
Golfers and skiers are encouraged to bring to the consignment tent any golf or ski equipment they would like to sell starting 8 a.m. Saturday. Shopping for hundreds of available consignment items begins at 10 a.m. both days.
“This event gives golfers and skiers the opportunity to purchase equipment that is new to them while at the same time seeing a return from their old equipment,” said Chris Oleson, PGA Pro and manager of Little Bennett Golf Course. “It’s a win-win for everyone involved, especially anyone just getting started in either of these sports.”
Little Bennett and WISP Ski Patrol staff will assist in pricing equipment and help potential buyers in selecting equipment. For safety, Little Bennett and WISP Ski Patrol staffs reserve the right to refuse any equipment for resale based on current safety standards. Sellers do not have to stay in the consignment tent throughout the weekend.
Fifteen percent of all sales generated at the swap will be used to support the WISP Ski Patrol and Little Bennett Golf’s Junior Golf Program. For more information, contact Little Bennett Golf Course at 301-253-1515 or visit Little Bennett Golf.
Scenic Little Bennett Golf Course is the PGA qualifying course for the Booz Allen Classic and offers the experienced golfer a challenging 18-hole course with sweeping views of Sugarloaf Mountain. Golfers who join the Players Choice Club Card program can earn free rounds of golf at seven M-NCPPC golf courses in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties when they want to play.
