Little Bennett Public Golf Course to Host 10th Annual Men’s Amateur Golf Tournament

CLARKSBURG, MD — Co-sponsors First Tee of Montgomery County and The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission are accepting entries for the 10th annual Montgomery County Men’s Amateur Golf Tournament, set for Saturday and Sunday, September 24 and 25, at M-NCPPC’s scenic Little Bennett Golf Course, 25900 Prescott Road, Clarksburg, Maryland.

A 36-hole medal play championship, the tournament is open to amateur golfers with handicaps of eight or less. Proceeds from the Tournament benefit the First Tee program, which provides access and instruction in the sport of golf and related life skills to youth in Montgomery County who otherwise would not have this opportunity.

Generous prizes include pro shop certificates, including $750 to the winner. At $135 per person, the entry fee covers play for both days, the practice range, prize pool, a light lunch on Sunday, and a players gift. Entry forms are available at Little Bennett Golf Course and at most pro shops in the County, or can be obtained by calling 301-948-6613.

Little Bennett Golf Course is an 18-hole, 6,706-yard golf course with a USGA rating of 72.9 and a slope of 133 from the championship tees and a PGA Tour qualifying course for the Booz Allen Classic..
