MEDIA ADVISORY: Department of Parks & Randolph Civic Association Celebrate Stream Restoration at Waverly-Schuylkill Neighborhood Park

ROCKVILLE, MD—This Saturday, May 2, the Montgomery County Department of Parks and the Randolph Civic Association will join neighbors, friends and invited guests to celebrate the completion of the stream restoration project at Waverly-Schuylkill Neighborhood Park.

The Department of Parks recently restored approximately 1,000 linear feet of unnamed tributary to Rock Creek between Schuylkill Road and the Garrett Park Rail Station to stabilize the stream system, improve habitat and reduce erosion along the stream bank. This community-led celebration will include children’s activities, music and more.
