MEDIA ADVISORY: Not-So-Big Wedding Boutique This Sunday, November 8

POTOMAC, MD—This Sunday, November 8 hundreds of brides, grooms and their families will join the Montgomery County Department of Parks at Rockwood Manor for the first ever Not-So-Big Wedding Boutique.

The Department of Parks challenged teams of wedding vendors to plan a wedding with a reception for 65 guests, including catering, floral arrangements, music, photography and the rental of a Montgomery Parks event center (Brookside Gardens, Rockwood Manor, Seneca Lodge or Woodlawn Manor) for $15,000 or less.  The results of the Not-So-Big Wedding challenge between 10 competing teams will be revealed at Sunday’s boutique. One team will be awarded the grand prize and one lucky bride-to-be will win a FREE parks event center rental.

There will also be a panel of budget savvy brides sharing their “Wedding Wisdom,” moderated by Ellen McCarthy and interactive discussions with authors Deborah McCoy and Lynn Young. St. Anthony's Bridal, a local non-profit whose mission is to help people have an affordable wedding, will also be onsite selling designer wedding gowns for $150 or less.

The Not-So-Big Wedding Boutique is FREE to the public.
