Montgomery County Planning Board to continue with virtual meetings in September, welcoming the public to testify in person starting in October 2021

Planning Board will resume virtual meetings on September 9 and will meet on Wednesday, September 15 in observance of Yom Kippur

WHEATON, MD – The Montgomery County Planning Board, part of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC), has announced that Planning Board meetings scheduled for September 2021 will continue to offer only virtual participation for the community. The Planning Board is planning to welcome the public to participate in and attend meetings in person starting in October 2021 at its new Wheaton Headquarters location (2425 Reedie Drive, 2nd Floor, Wheaton, MD, 20902). The first Planning Board meeting in October is scheduled for October 7 and the public is invited to attend in person starting on October 15.

“We are looking forward to welcoming the community into our new Wheaton Headquarters building in October,” said Chair Casey Anderson. “We plan to offer hybrid meeting participation even after starting in-person participation following county health order protocols, so community members can choose to attend in person or participate virtually.”

Planning Board meetings will resume virtually after the August recess on September 9. The Planning Board meeting originally scheduled for September 16 has been rescheduled for September 15 in observance of Yom Kippur. Consult the Calendar of Events for upcoming meeting dates.
