OLNEY, MD—Be inspired by history during the Montgomery County Department of Parks’ FREE Theatre in the Parks program this Saturday, July 25 at Oakley Cabin African American Museum, 3610 Brookeville Road, Olney, featuring Margaret Locklear-Peck of the Black Butterfly Production Company of Baltimore. Share the bright moments of Margaret’s life as you stomp your feet and sing along to this musical drama. Then, tour the historic Oakley Cabin and learn about the people who lived there 100 years ago, how they survived slavery and embraced their own bright moment—freedom. Guided tours: noon to 1:00 pm and 2:30 to 4:00 pm. Performance: 1:00 to 2:30 pm.
