PARK FUND USER FEE INCREASES PROPOSED

Staff will recommend a three percent increase in all Park Fund User Fees when a presentation is made to the Montgomery County Planning Board on Thursday, October 9, 2003. These fees include, but are not limited to, those charged for use of picnic shelters, recreation buildings, ballfields, and campsites. The public is invited to comment. COUNTY-WIDE RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD SEEKS MEMBERS

The County-Wide Recreation Advisory Board is seeking members to serve three-year terms without compensation. Meetings are held the first Monday of each month at the Department of Recreation's Administrative Offices in Silver Spring. The Board encourages the development of desirable parks and recreational opportunities, and advises and makes recommendations to appropriate officials on matters concerning budgets, recreation programs, services and facilities. Interested residents should apply by October 17, to County Executive Douglas M. Duncan, Executive Office Building, 101 Monroe Street, Rockville, MD 20850. A brief resume, including work and home phone numbers, should be enclosed.
