Joint State Transportation Priority Letter – Planning Board Recommendations

The County Executive and County Council periodically submit a joint transportation priority letter to the Maryland Department of Transportation. Chapter 725 of state law requires Counties to submit a list of priorities to inform the upcoming Consolidated Transportation Plan (CTP) process at MDOT. The Planning Board participates in this process by providing comments to the County Executive and County Council.

Bill 33-22, Capital Improvements Program – Affordable Housing Feasibility Study – Required

Bill 33-22 would require the County Executive to submit an affordable housing feasibility study to the Council for certain capital projects, establish a review process for the Council to determine project feasibility for colocation of affordable housing and generally amend County law regarding the analysis of capital projects.

Planning Board Seeks Public Comments on Three
Administrative Sewer and Water Category Change Requests

The Planning Board will hear testimony and consider recommendations for the Water and Sewer Category Change Requests (WSSCR) listed below on Thursday January 26, 2023. The applications request that community water and/or sewer service be extended to these properties.

A public hearing for these administrative cases will be facilitated via telephone conference on February 7, 2023, at 10:00 am by the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). Planning Board recommendations for these cases will be presented to the County Executive before final decision.
